I have worked with Liz twice over the last ten years.  She first redesigned our living room in our traditional Cincinnati home.  She found fabrics that were exactly what I was envisioning for custom upholstered furniture in the living room, plus lighting and a rug.  She is also an accomplished seamstress. Liz made fabulous window treatments for our living room, dining room, family room and master bedroom, again with lovely fabrics.  

Our second collaboration was for our Boston condo, which is a completely different space - modern, with large windows and beautiful walnut floors.  We hoped to combine our primitive antique wood furniture with more contemporary upholstered pieces. Within two weeks, Liz identified fabrics in our color palette for a new couch, leather chair and to reupholster two existing chairs.  She tracked down a coordinating rug to anchor the pieces in our living area. I could not have found the quality of the new pieces or the fabrics myself in a substantially longer period of time. The assistance that Liz provided allowed me to meet our moving deadline. We are very pleased with the result, which showcases pieces from our furniture collection in a relaxing environment for our retirement.  She also provided excellent advice on purchasing a new latex mattress set and counter stools for our kitchen. Her assistance was invaluable.

I really enjoyed working with Liz to update my house's interior. She made the process easy by doing the legwork for me; looking at furniture, buying sheets, selecting paint colors, picking out samples of glass tile for the kitchen backsplash for me to choose from and then scheduling its installation.

Liz McGavran is a very friendly, reliable, trustworthy, and caring designer.  Five years ago we built our home and with the assistance of our builder made color and finishing selections to the extent of our ability.  However, we were never fully satisfied that our home was meeting its interior design potential.  We were referred to Liz by a contractor who was making some improvements in our home.  Although we loved the improvements he made, we still lacked surety in selecting paint colors and other finishings to help maximize our home's aesthetic touch. Now this is where Liz came in to save the day.  She helped us not only select current colors for our home.  She also selected decorations for our foyer, family room, dining room, and kitchen.  Her suggestions were creative, imaginative and really took us out of our comfort zone.  While we were a little unsure initially, we allowed her to work her magic and everything turned out better than we could have ever expected.  

Liz was considerate of our budget and worked with art pieces and and area rug that we already had.  She even created a beautiful centerpiece for our dining room table using a Tiffany glass bowl that we received as a wedding gift years ago.  Liz was quick to pick up on what we would and would not like.  She suggested paint colors and decor that completely livened up our home.  She was able to tie the decor from the different areas of the house together so everything flows well together.  Liz is also a very talented seamstress.  She made custom window treatments for our kitchen and enhanced the panels she selected for our family room. Her little touches along with changing the paint color of the walls has completely transformed our kitchen.  We have several more home projects planned and will definitely get Liz involved because we know that we will be happy with the end result.  We highly recommend Liz for your home interior design projects.

Liz McGavran is the consummate expert in color, design and making a house feel like a home.  Liz is easy to work with and offers helpful suggestions that make so much sense.  I was fortunate enough to have Liz working with me as I purchased a new home in Cincinnati.  Liz took a detailed look at each room and made helpful suggestions from new kitchen countertops, to a gas range.  She color matched paint shades, selected window coverings and even found beautiful fabric to re-cover my mother’s dining room chairs.  I would highly recommend Liz.  She’s A-One in my book.
